About

Overview and Mission statement

"To be the 1st choice in quality tuition in the areas of contemporary vocals and dance for students wishing to carve out a career in the entertainment industry"

Fusion Performing Arts exists for one simple reason. To provide quality, focussed and relevant tuition to passionate, motivated and talented students. Small class sizes, qualified staff and performance opportunities mean we can spend the time bringing out the b est in our students.

We aim as staff to constantly update our teaching methods and sylubus, and to challange our students to learn, extend and grow as performers. We encourage individual style and create an environment where the students learn from and support each other in their goals.

Revision of goals and achievements helps students stay focussed. Performance opportunities mean students can put what they learn into practice.

Rationale

The rationale behind the Fusion method of teaching is simple. There are many other schools in the region that cater to everyone, from beginners, those doining it for fun to those who take it a little more seriously. While performing for fun and fitness has its merit and should be encouraged we made the decision to be different.

By only accepting a limited amount of students in each age group with a passion for dance or vocals we can really work on those select students.

Eliminating time and resources on the students who take a more casual approach. We can then pour time and resources into Honing the skills of the students who ultimately want to work in the industry.
We can present more performance oopportunities to EVERYONE in the school, instead of the select few, and again feedback on what is relevant to the students in terms of techniques, content and delivery of the lessons.

By limiting spaces, we can really get tot know our students and if neccessary, work on specific areas that may need attention. We can get to know their goals and the areas they want to head into, and focus on finding them the opportunities that help them achieve that.

In Short, we make ourselves the "next step" to having a career in the industry. We create an environment where everyone enrolled is passionate about dance and vocals and motivate, inspire and support each other.
